AI vs Super Intelligence (SI): What It Means for Your Business

Call it AI or Super Intelligence (SI). Your buyers already ask it before they ask you. Here’s what changed, what didn’t, and what to do about it this quarter.

Can they read yours? The free AI-readiness audit shows you in about a minute.

01 · The rename, neutrally

What happened, and what it does and doesn’t mean.

  1. 22 Sep 2026

US diplomats are told to say “Super Intelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence” (reported 23 Sep). [1]

  2. 29 Sep 2026

A White House executive order and fact sheet make “Super Intelligence (SI)” the federal term. [2]

  3. 1 Oct 2026

California tells its agencies to keep saying “AI”. The major AI labs don’t adopt “SI”. Search interest spikes, but stays below “artificial intelligence”. [3]

  4. 4 Oct 2026

A “Super Intelligence Force” is created. [4]

What it means

  • A vocabulary change in US federal communications.
  • More public attention on AI, and on who uses it well.
  • For a while, buyers and journalists will use both words.

What it doesn’t mean

  • A new technology. The models are the same as the week before.
  • A new rule for your website outside government work.
  • A reason to rename your products or pages. People still search for “AI”.

I take no side on the politics. I care about what your buyers type, and what the assistants answer them.

02 · What changes in 12–24 months

The word is new. The shift isn’t. My read, with the evidence.

These are forecasts, not facts, and I’ll update them as the evidence moves. The numbers under each one are sourced.

03 · The readiness model

Found. Cited. Chosen. Plus the engine room.

Four layers I use to judge whether a business is ready for the Super Intelligence (SI) era. My free audit scores the first three.

  1. 01

    Found

Can AI reach and read you?

    • AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt and at your CDN
    • Your words are in the HTML, not only after JavaScript runs
    • A clean sitemap and real 404s

Not ready: A JavaScript-only site, bot challenges, or a firewall that quietly turns AI crawlers away.

    AI-ready website rebuild
  2. 02

    Cited

Does AI trust you enough to quote you?

    • Answer-first pages for the questions buyers ask
    • One unambiguous entity: name, people, profiles
    • Dated, authored expertise and visible prices

Not ready: Thin pages, no named experts, and no numbers an assistant can quote.

    AI search visibility sprint
  3. 03

    Chosen

Do the people AI sends you convert?

    • Fast pages with proof and prices
    • A clear next step on every page
    • A reply within one business day

Not ready: A contact page, a generic form and a three-day wait.

    Conversion landing pages
  4. 04

    Engine room

Do agents keep it all running?

    • Expertise captured and published with approvals
    • Leads pre-briefed before you call them back
    • Spend caps and logs on every agent

Not ready: Senior people doing repetitive work by hand, and content that stops when they get busy.

    AI agents & automation

04 · This quarter

What to do this quarter. Ten items, in order.

  1. Ask the assistants Do it yourself

Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude the five questions your buyers ask before they buy. Write down who gets named, and what is said about you.

  2. Check the doors Do it yourself

Look at robots.txt and your CDN or firewall settings for AI crawlers such as GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot. Some providers can block them, depending on the zone’s age and settings. [8]

  3. Read your site without JavaScript Needs a developer

Fetch your homepage’s raw HTML. If your words aren’t in it, most AI crawlers can’t see them. My own old site showed 0 words.

  4. Put prices on the page Do it yourself

Even ranges. Assistants answer “how much does it cost?” with whoever publishes a number.

  5. Answer your top ten questions Do it yourself

Turn your most common customer questions into answer-first pages: the answer in the first two sentences, the detail after.

  6. Make your entity unambiguous Needs a developer

One company name everywhere, Organization and Person schema, and sameAs links to your real profiles.

  7. Put a name and a date on expertise Do it yourself

A real author, a real “updated” date, and a source for every claim.

  8. End every page with a next step Needs a developer

A form, a booking link or WhatsApp, and a reply within one business day.

  9. Pilot one agent, with a gate A small project

Pick one repetitive workflow, such as lead pre-briefs, reporting or onboarding, and run it with human approval and a spend cap.

  10. Decide who signs off on AI Do it yourself

Write down who approves AI-drafted content before it publishes, and what gets checked.

05 · FAQ

Straight answers about AI, SI and your business.

Is Super Intelligence (SI) a different technology from AI?

No. In the US government’s usage, Super Intelligence (SI) is a new name for the same field: the same models, the same tools. Researchers have long used “superintelligence” for something narrower, AI that would exceed people across most domains. That debate is separate from the naming change.

Should we rename our AI products or pages to “SI”?

Not for search. Buyers and procurement teams still type “AI”: searches for “AI agents for business” grew +210% year on year [7]. Keep “AI” in your titles, pages and URLs. Use “SI”, if at all, as a nod to the moment.

Is this page taking a political side?

No. I don’t take sides on the rename. I track what buyers type and what assistants answer, and I’ll update this page as both change.

Why is this site called webrevolution.si?

Super Intelligence. Also Slovenia’s country code: small, sharp, independent. Like a one-man agency.

What is the SI-Readiness Score?

The score my free AI-readiness audit gives your site: up to 100 points across Found, Cited and Chosen, plus a separate Agent-Ready sub-score. It’s calculated by fixed rules, not by a language model, so the same site gets the same score.

Will being AI-ready guarantee that ChatGPT recommends us?

No, and be wary of anyone who promises it. Readiness removes the reasons an assistant can’t use you. Whether it chooses you also depends on your reputation, your reviews and what others write about you. I measure it; I don’t promise it.
