# I’m Vegard. One builder, directing an army of AI agents.

The story

## Builder by trade. Agent overlord by necessity.

I shipped my first online shop in 2006. 20 years later I still build every project myself. What changed is who helps.

I went independent in 2014. Since then I’ve built 100+ projects for clients in 9 countries, including Switzerland, Germany, Norway, the United States, Mexico and Canada: hotels and restaurants, clinics, law firms, contractors, shops and software products. WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores, landing pages, calculators, whole platforms.

For most of those years, a one-person studio had a hard ceiling. One pair of hands, so many hours. Agencies solved that with headcount, and passed the overheads on to clients. I never wanted the layers, so I stayed small and stayed close to the work.

In 2026 the ceiling moved. I now direct a crew of AI agents that research, draft, code, test and keep watch. They do the volume. I do the judgement: every decision, every claim, every deploy. That’s how one builder now ships what used to take a team.

The joke in that headline has a serious edge. Agents are fast and tireless, and they make things up. So each one has a job description, a list of things it’s never allowed to do, a budget cap, and one boss who checks its work before anything reaches you. My own old website showed me why it matters. It looked good to people, and AI crawlers that don’t run JavaScript saw 0 words of content on it. So I rebuilt it in the open, the way I’d rebuild yours. You’re reading the result.

Timeline

The name

## Why .si?

Super Intelligence. Also Slovenia’s country code: small, sharp, independent. Like a one-man agency.

Who I’m not a fit for

  I work with businesses only. Personal sites and hobby projects are better served elsewhere.
- **Budgets under €1,500**
  Run the free AI audit and fix the top three yourself. It will do more for you than a rushed project.
- **Guaranteed rankings or AI citations**
  Nobody can honestly promise what ChatGPT or Google will say. I promise the work and measure the results.
- **Account managers and status decks**
  If you want a large agency’s layers and rituals, hire a large agency. You get me, directly.
- **AI output with nobody checking it**
  If you want content published straight from a model, you don’t need me. My whole method is the checking.
- **A 24/7 operations desk**
  I build systems that fail safe and alert me. I’m one person, not a round-the-clock support centre.

## What if something happens to me? The honest answer to the bus-factor question.

There’s no hidden team behind me, so I won’t promise you a stand-in. I promise something more useful: everything a competent developer needs to take over is already yours.

  Domain, DNS, hosting, code repository, AI provider keys and analytics are registered to you. I work inside them with access you grant, and can revoke, at any time.
- **Docs written for the next developer**
  A README and architecture notes that explain how the pieces fit and why, written for a stranger, not for me.
- **Runbooks for the things that matter**
  How to deploy, roll back, rotate keys and restore data, step by step, kept next to the code.
- **Tests that guard the behaviour**
  Automated tests run on every change. If someone else edits the code later, the tests say exactly what broke.
- **A mainstream stack**
  TypeScript, Astro, Cloudflare Workers, and WordPress where your editors need it. No proprietary framework only I understand.
